UPDATES
ON PHIL
We’ve had so many people asking us how Phil - drummer extraordinaire, expert gadget man, and rabid coffee drinker - is getting on, we thought we’d give him his own little page, which we’ll update as and when we get news of him. Don’t get too cocky, Phil, when you get better this page will disappear forever, and you will once again become “just the drummer in Flashback

MWAHAHAHAHA!
A photo of Phil, just to remind us what he looks like (hee hee)
Monday 22nd June  ...And the first piece of news is that Phil went in hospital yesterday (after playing shows with us on Friday and Saturday night!) and is having his operation today. Last night’s show in York was done with Steve Jackson on drums, who has fitted in perfectly, harmonies and everything - thanks, Steve. Further news on Phil when we hear it - good luck, mate.

Tuesday 23rd June  Well, everything seems to have gone well, so well, in fact, that by 8pm yesterday Phil was sitting up and talking! Gawd, you can drug him and cut him open, but you still can’t get him to shut up... More to come.
Thursday 25th June  It’s been a busy time for all those close to Phil - visiting  him and so forth - but we finally caught up with Kirsten, who had just left the hospital. Apparently he is fine, keeping the nurses busy, and happy with his iPod despite having 20 tubes in him and bleeping all the time. Looks like he’s back to normal already!
Monday 28th June  Things seem to be progressing well with Phil, at the weekend some of the tubes were taken out (ouch!), and he was sitting in a chair (Nurse! He’s out of bed again!) He’s been taken from the high dependency unit into a normal ward, and is in pretty high spirits, especially after hearing about all the good wishes everyone has sent him over the last week. He says a big Thank You to everyone.
Sat 11th July  Sorry for the lack of updates, purely because our webmaster has been sooo busy with other things. Anyhow... After a  bit of a down week last week - Phil got a touch of pneumonia, all cleared up now, and some fluid on the chest - he is much better. The view is that they seem to have removed all of the tumour, and there is plenty of healthy tissue around, so things are about as good as expected. He sends his thanks for all your good wishes and, although he will be in hospital for a couple of weeks yet, is in good spirits. Hopefully we will update a bit more regularly now.
Mon 27th July  Some good news. Phil’s a lot brighter than he was a couple of weeks ago, he's clearly feeling more positive despite this being his fifth week in hospital. He's on first name terms with all the staff, they've even printed off the homepage of Flashbacks website and put it on his medical board above his bed!!! (So yes he's got two ugly mugs to wake up with!). He's only on one drip now, antibiotics for the infection. He's real chuffed with the progress made for The Cavern Comes To York and sends his thanks to everyone for their good wishes. Hoping to be out of hospital this week.
Fri 31st July  Phil finally left hospital this week, and is now at Calvert Towers, the servants were pleased to have him home and are looking after him well. He is still quite weak, although the infection is almost beaten, but he is on the road to recovery. More soon.
Wed 26th August  This will probably be our last update on Phil (well, we don’t want to give him too much of a sense of importance, do we?). Although he has lost a lot of weight, he is well on the road to recovery, and out and about on his own. He has been touched (many times) by all the good wishes from everyone. In fact, in the end we told him to think of everyone we had met, and accept best wishes from them. He sends his thanks to all of you.
